This sculpture marks the birthplace of the famous American composer, actor, singer, and songwriter. George M. Cohan (1878-1942) wrote and appeared in many Broadway musicals and in movies, defining the genre of musical comedies. He also penned the well-known songs “Over There” and “Yankee Doodle Boy.”
