Central Massachusetts Korean War Memorial

About

Worcester, MA

2007

This sculpture expresses the humanitarian contribution of the U.S. Military during the conflict. Thousands of Korean children were orphaned during the war, and our servicemen and servicewomen were entrusted to shelter and protect them. The Monument shows a soldier with an orphaned Korean boy in the foreground. The boy is self-assured in his stance, and they are both symbolically looking towards the future. Events and memorials are held at the site.
