Placed directly in front of the new Academic Center at Assumption University (then College) and with the approach to it from the steps beyond, the sculpture becomes akin to a stage setting. The moment depicted is when Augustine became devoted to the Catholic Church. The sculpture is not only a reflection of the physical world of Saint Augustine but a representation of the spiritual presence of the great thinker.
