FAO Schwarz Teddy Bear

About

Boston, MA

1990

This is a 12-foot-high bronze, interactive sculpture which represents the FAO Schwarz logo. It was originally commissioned by the company for their Boston store located on Boylston Street. When the store closed, the bear was given to the City of Boston. After a contest to choose a new home for it, the bear was relocated to Tufts Medical Center and Floating Hospital for Children where residents, visitors, and passersby can still enjoy it.
